She didn’t marry her lover - Ravi Kopra
An unhappily married Indian woman
Enters this entry into her journal:
“ Is this my fault I keep on loving you
While you go on tormenting me?
I will die for you but please
Do not make my life a hell.
I’d not mind if you see another woman
And love her more than me.
I was not meant for you,
But I'll love you till the day I die."
How stupid, how confused
Is this woman!
She didn’t marry her lover,
She married a man her parents found
Fitting the class and family.
She doesn’t know what love is
She'd still love her husband
Unfaithful though he is.
Who says marriages are made in heaven?
So long they are made by parents
By family and by friends,
Couples will live in hell—
Cussing, crying, complaining--
Till their lives come to an end.
