Lovers -I Jorge Gaitan Duran

Original in Spanish

Amantes -I

Literal translation:

LOVERS

we are like are the ones that love themselves.
Al to strip us we discover two unknown monsters that are tightenedto you tempted,
scars with which the spiteful desire indicates to the ones that without rest they love itself:
the tedium, the suspicion that invincible ties us in its network, as in the lack two adulterous God. In love as two lunatics, two
bloodthirsty stars, two dynasties that hungry are disputed a kingdom, we want to be justice, we await us ferocious, we
deceive us, we infer us the despicable offenses with which the sky insult to the ones that love themselves.
Only so that thousand times the hug set on fire us that in the world are the ones that thousand times love themselves we die each day.

My version:

Lovers

We are like those who love.
In nude we become two strange monsters
Groping each other tightly,
The scars of unforgiving desire show
That we love tirelessly:
The tedium, the suspicion invincibly ties us
Like two wanting adulterous gods in a web.

Like two lunatics in love,
Two bloodthirsty stars, two dynasties
Hungrily disputing a kingdom,
Wanting to be fair, we stalk savagely,
We trick, we construe vile offences
For which the sky affronts those who love,
Only that a hug sets us a thousand times on fire,
Those who love in this world
Die a thousand times each day.
