Don’t be afraid of your loving wife,
Lest you teach her to be evil to you.
Let no woman have the power
To trample over your dignity.
Don’t be close to a strange women,
Lest she traps you in her snares.
Don’t befriend a singing girl,
Lest you be caught in her guiles.

Don't dwell your thoughts on virgins,
You may pay fines for life.
Don’t give yourself to harlots,
They will go for your inheritance.

Don’t loiter in the city,
Wandering in its lanes and squares.
Don’t gaze at beautiful women.
Don’t praise beauty of someone's wife.

Many perish through woman’s beauty,
For the lust burns like fire.
Don’t dine with a married woman,
Don’t lie by her side for a drink.

Lest your heart goes lusting her,
To the day you go to your grave.
